Classic Whiskey Cocktail Recipes

SERVES 1

Apple Cider Sour

INGREDIENTS


1 1/2 oz of Rye Whiskey

1/2 oz Creme de Cacao

3/4 oz Lemon Juice

3/4 oz Apple Cider Syrup

To make the Syrup: Combine 1 part Apple Cider and 1 part white sugar. Stir until dissolved


Add ingredients into a shaker. Add ice and shake for 10-20 seconds until cold. Strain the liquid into a glass and garnish with an apple slice or star anise. Enjoy!

SERVES 1

Cranberry Buck

INGREDIENTS


1 1/2 oz of Bourbon

3/4 oz of Lemon Juice

3/4 oz of Cranberry-Rosemary Syrup

2 oz Ginger Beer

1 Dash Aromatic Bitters


Add ingredients (except ginger beer) into a shaker. Add ice and shake for 10-20 seconds until cold. Strain the liquid into a Collins glass and top with ginger beer. Stir gently, and add a cranberry skewer or rosemary sprig garnish. Enjoy!

Rye Manhattan

INGREDIENTS


1 1/2 oz of Rye Whiskey

3/4 oz Sweet Vermouth Syrup

2 dashes of Aromatic Bitters (Angostura or similar)


Cranberry-Rosemary Syrup: Add a few sprigs of fresh Rosemary to 1 part Cranberries and 1 part Water. Bring to a boil until the berries "split".

Strain the liquid ("tea") and mix 1 part "Tea" with 1 part White Sugar. Stir until dissolved.


Combine ingredients into a mixing glass. Add ice and shake for 10-20 seconds until cold. Strain the liquid into a coupe-type glass. Garnish with a cocktail cherry. Enjoy!
